frequently asked questions
I know booking a photographer can come with lots of questions — especially if you’ve never done a family shoot before. My approach is simple: no awkward poses, no stiff smiles, just real moments captured as they happen. Below I’ve answered some of the most common questions, but if there’s anything else you’d like to know, just drop me a message. I’m always happy to chat!
Where can we have our photos taken?
Pick somewhere you love! Parks, woodland trails, beaches, or even your own back garden — the more relaxed and “you” the place feels, the better the photos will be.
Will you tell us how to pose?
Nope — that’s not me. I don’t direct or force smiles. I capture life as it unfolds: muddy knees, ice-cream moustaches, unexpected hugs, giggles, even the tantrums (I’m a mum, I know the reality!).
How long can I book you for?
Most sessions last between 1 and 2 hours. But if we’re in the middle of something magical, I won’t just pack up the camera the second the clock runs out.
How many pictures will I receive?
As many as I take! I don’t set limits — you’ll get all the good shots, beautifully edited, and ready to treasure forever.
How much do you charge?
Drop me a message and I’ll be happy to share details and availability.
What should we wear?
Simply wear what feels like you. Everyone has their own style, and that’s what makes your photos unique. Don’t stress about “matching outfits” — I promise the photos will still look amazing.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
Don’t worry, I expect it! Kids are curious, energetic, and unpredictable — that’s what makes the photos so special. I’ll follow their lead, and some of the best pictures come from those “off-script” moments.
